Launched in July 2004, the Microsoft-MOE Professional Development Award (MMPDA) rewards and recognises teachers who make outstanding, effective and innovative use of ICT (including at least one Microsoft technology*) to support engaged learning. It also recognises teachers who use ICT for the benefit of the school community, and inspire and encourage others in their use of ICT in teaching and learning. * Microsoft technology includes Microsoft Windows, Vista and operating system development applications, Microsoft Office, Infopath, Groove, OneNote, Microsoft Server technology, Microsoft Sharepoint technology, Sharepoint Designer 2007, Windows Media Player, Windows Mobile applications, and any associated Microsoft development applications.
